Realistic, practical and affordable guidance for school meal programs

COVID 19 regulations and financial goals- We can help!

Fund balances were wiped out while deficits grew when the school year ended abruptly in 2020. District school nutrition programs stepped up to meet the needs of their communities by providing meals during the shutdown, but the expenses of operating food service greatly exceeded revenue.  Districts now find it increasingly difficult to operate financially sound programs.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes and challenges to school meals programs.  Areas impacted include social distancing, sanitation, menu planning, training staff, preparing, cooking and serving menu items.

School FoodService Management Group knows how important it is to implement these changes, while working with school administrators to overcome the many obstacles that lie ahead and still operate a financially sound program in these troubled times.

We also know that Directors and Administrators often do not have the time or expertise to deal with many of these issues despite dedicated efforts on their part. We can offer solutions to increase sales and reduce expenses that will enhance the school meals program at the same time meeting and exceeding the new safety regulations.

School FoodService Management Group works with you to determine not only your goals and objectives for your program, but how they fit into the post COVID era. From these objectives together with our expertise, we then tailor a program that will fit the specific needs and goals of your students, administration and community and be compliant with the new health initiatives introduced as a result of the pandemic.

Let us work together..................
